I met Mark Hurst in 2005 at TED in Monterey.

Frustrated by a bus delay, Mark invited me to accompany him on what turned out to be a very fast walk from the Monterey Aquarium back to the Conference Center. During that journey (and despite my sweating & panting), I was able to convey to him a little bit about the thinking behind the REMO General Store … and how it had long been uniquely committed to delighting CustOMERs with a "good experience."

The now exclusively online REMO General Store (you are here!) was launched in Sydney Australia in 1988 with a mission to delight an involved community of CustOMERs; to seek out and celebrate quality & passion in people and merchandise gathered together from all over the world.
