Two good things happened in 1988. REMO was launched in Sydney as a General Store with a mission to seek out and celebrate Quality & Passion in people and merchandise gathered together from all over the world. Story here.

Meanwhile, down in Melbourne, Maurice Terzini (your host at IDRB) opened his first restaurant "Caffé e Cucina" on Chapel Street in South Yarra. The much loved Caffé e Cucina soon became a de facto outpost for the REMO General Store, and we launched more than one catalogue to our Melbourne CustOMERs over Campari & Parmigiano in that space.
