REMO REMO REMO you sold me the wonderful wooden Pod that was my engagement present to my husband...introduced me to Kiehl's...made the world's greatest cotton shorts (that I've preserved for six years)...you were where I reintroduced myself to Splades (the only way to eat)...and I still do laps in an Eternity swim cap. An intriguing concoction of buzzing sound, quivering antennae, spinning wings and basic bold colours; this delightful pull-along toy has endeared itself to millions of New Zealanders since its development by brothers Hec & John Ramsey in the mid 1940's.

Whilst the original fibre wings tended to suffer at the teeth of children and were swapped for plastic ones in the late 1960's, Buzzy Bee remained pretty much the same all the way up until early 1990, when the toy had to undergo extensive cosmetic surgery to comply with new toy safety regulations.

Buzzy Bee is 100% assembled in New Zealand using 80% local componentry.

My 16 month old son was in love with his Bee before it was even out of the box. The fact that it makes a noise and can be dragged around won his heart forever. The day he got it, he even insisted that it accompany him to his bath (we compromised by letting it 'watch' from the handbasin). I've bought one for my nephew's upcoming birthday too. Yet another dearly loved addition to our lives, thanks to Remo!

This arrived in a package with a giant duck. My 14 month son loved it from the outset. It makes a fantastic clacking noise when you pull it along the floor and the wings spin in a way I can't quite understand. Seems bomb-proof. Much more amusing than any plastic electronic rubbish.

Fiona Kay has given this product a 5 star rating | The magic Buzzy Bee!
Every Kiwi kid has a Buzzy Bee at some stage. They are fun, noisy, don't need batteries and can take a solid amount of toy bashing. I love the little suckers so much i had one tattoed on my body!

My gosh this is noisy on our wooden floors. I put up with it because my kids love it! The little boy races around with it and the baby just sucks on the string. (And it doesn't need any batteries.)

This iconic toy brings new meaning in the PDA=(personal development amuser) market. A low tech antidote to buzz lighbeer which requires no batteries. Refreshingly wooden performance. Excellent for tripping up mum/ dad/ other adults if left in main passageways, which (of course)is its natural home.
