| Perkins paste cures homesickness Have just received my Perkins Paste t-shirt which I ordered together with an Eternity t-shirt when I was feeling particularly homesick and they have cheered me no end. Looking forward to wearing this and knowing that no one here will know what it is!

| Old Flame Those educated solely here in Queensland are ignorant of the little pinky-purple pots of paste, but for those of us who did some time in the NSW education system know it as the sweet-smelling stuff that everyone had, and some ate with gusto. I was never a paste eater myself -- I've long been able to discern stationary from food -- but do remember the paste with some fondness. I'm wearing the PP t-shirt as I type this. It's very cool indeed.

| Already a much-loved Tshirt This is the first of many REMO Tshirts I will be acquiring in the next few months, and I love it. The pink colour matches my memory of the colour of the pot perfectly and the fit is brilliant (women's short-sleeve) although I had to buy larger than I normally would. And the association with that smell is uncanny! It gets a wear at least once a week.

| Deprived Childhoods in SA Now living in Adelaide, it seems Perkins Paste never made it over here. I can always rely on a NSWer to track me down for a chat when I'm wearing it though. Of course I ate it too - who didn't? Oh, that's right, South Australians. Looks amazing on the PINK shirt!! (Go a size bigger on fitted women's though)

| Mmmm...Perkins Paste...Delicious! It seems like most of us have the same memories - what an odd bunch of Aussie kids we were, eating our Perkins Paste in grade 1 & 2. I bought one of these for my brother as a birthday gift. Oh, how we laughed. I'm a bit envious actually - I wouldn't mind one myself. Actually REMO, how about a Perkins Paste Coffee Cup? Yum!

| Love this! I have had my Perkins Paste short sleeve T for quite some time now, and I think it is great! I usually crack it out as standard Sunday attire - and I am always sure to have somebody comment on it!

| Perkins Paste Long Sleeve T So happy to have my new Perkins Paste Long Sleeve T to wear around in Melbourne, where no one has a clue about it!
I can certainly remember the smell and taste of it, the absolute highlight of Kinder and Grade One in 1964/5 at Loftus Primary School! Clag just didn't cut it. What I wouldn't give for just one more of those purple pots of joy!
Now if only I could remember how to play with my Italian Playing cards?

| Memories My husband loves this shirt so much I have to fight to get it into the wash some days. It certainly brings back a whole lot of memories..the slightly serated edge of the application stick against the tongue is certainly one of them...

| A great 40th Birthday Pressie I gave this shirt to a friend for her 40th birthday. She was notorious for eating her Perkins Paste. She loved it but told everyone that it was actually me who ate the paste. I agree they should definitely be scratch'n'sniff.

| It has to be pink When you originally brought the Perkins Paste back it was only available on white. I'm so glad you got the coloured shirts going and it's available on hot pink. Authenticity - you have to BE the paste pot!

| 2nd time around I bought this t-shirt years ago and wore it to the death, finally I buried it complete with holes and sleeve droping off with much sadness late last year, now I have a 2nd one on the way so it is with much joy that I can go on wearing my all time favorite t-shirt for the next 10 years!!

| Knowing smiles I can't go anywhere in this T without someone stopping me
and explaining that they remember the smell or that they ate the stuff. Me, I loved the smell but could not eat it in a boat; could not eat it with a goat....

| Obligatory School Items If you attended Primary School in the sixties or early seventies you had a pack of obligatory items for school. This pack consisted of neo-magics ("don't press too hard or you'll run them out"), 5c for a Sunnyboy at lunchtime and a pot of Perkins Paste on your desk. Life was good.

| mmm - perkins paste with uncooked spaghetti for some reason i used to love that combination - leave the spaghetti in the paste until it became a tiny bit soft on the outside and then eat it. these days i look at my action and two words come to my mind - "please explain".... the shirt is cool - i will buy it as soon as i work out which is my size!

| PP Sandwich Seeing this took me back to my youth. Front garden of mum & dad's place - my big brother, his mate and me. All daring each other to eat a full on Perkins Paste sarnie. We had the pink tub and the nice fresh soft squashy white sliced bread. The boys did it. I couldn't. They were legends.

| Lil' Patty's penchant for Perkin's Paste! Yipppppppy!!!
The "PERKIN'S PASTE" T is BACK!!!
I quite literally, grew up on the stuff!!! I was the only girl at school who could eat half a tub of "Perkin's Paste" (glue) without barfing....
ALL the boys thought I was a L-E-G-E-N-D ! Ahhhhhh....the good ol' days!
The following day: Remo!! I LOVE THE T!!! It's YUMMMMMY!!!!!
I can still recall the marzipan flavour of the glue...in fact....I'm craving it....am I strange?
LOL!!! Now all you have to do is source a Perkin's Pink dye that doesn't run or fade, so that you can make the T's in PINK!

| The Perkin's Paste Sandwich In my school his name was Martin Miles. His herosim (and intestinal fortitude) were unquestioned. His recipe: a healthy shmear of Perkin's Paste sandwiched between 2 pieces of plain white paper. Remarkable.

| Remembering primary school I can still recall the smell. And wasn't there always one kid who would eat it? I got one in "Perkins pink" and it's a firm favourite.

| Different taste! Got the shirt, Tastes nothing like the original, and is useless as an adhesive! Ordered a medium, but should have got a small - the sizing is huge! Was going to return it, but it grew on me, or me into it.

| Four and counting I had one of the original huge pink version of this. I was so happy to be able to replace the faded one with a nice fitted one! I've also sent one as a wedding present to a friend in the UK - she wore hers out during her first pregnancy (again, one of the huge boxy ones). My Norwegian friend also has one - wonder how many mystified looks she's had wearing it in Oslo and the Lofotens?! I just wish the print didn't crack after only about 10 washes.

| scratch'n'sniff travelling through country sa last week, i found an old perkins paste container in an antique store. opening the lid took me straight back to north sydney demonstration school circa 1971. now, if you could only make the tee in scratch'n' sniff, that really WOULD be something.

Nothing goes near the little pink tub for pure aroma - I can smell it now. How about the totally hopeless application stick that was attached to the lid? It was never long enough to reach the bottom and never seemed to actually do the job for which it seemed intended - ie help smear the paste at the required thickness to achieve adhesion. I recall many a time using my fingers - generally with only minor success. It never was a great stayer - you could always change your mind about a composition when working with Perk's. Loved it - miss it.

| white cotton bites ! I ordered the Perkins Paste T-shirt hoping it would arrive totally purple. It only makes sense, white cotton just doesn't do the "paste" justice. Apart from that I have had many smiles from friends who remember eating ole' perkins many moons ago.

| Not only the smell! I still have an original all pink perkins paste T which I'd love to replace so my pulse quickened when I saw the small preview picture. Sadly though it's not the same on a white background - the pink was a perfect match for the colour of that magic container and always elicited cries of recognition even if only seen from the back! Please bring back the all pink version.

I am guilty of eating the uncooked pasta that was given to us to play with in kindergarten, I will even confess to eating the dried sticky bits at the top of the glue pot that had the consitency of "clag" (but wasn't clag). The idea of stuffing gob fulls of perkins paste in my mouth never occured to me... (its all about consitency and appeal to the palete you see)
I bought this t-shirt when my boyfriend was knocked off his bike by a car and smashed his wrist... pins, 4 external stainless steel rods and a metal bar with a pivot in the middle attatched to the bones in his wrist...
who will win I ask? precision Italian Surgical engineering or perkins paste to stick him back together?
well its the thought that counts :-)

| What on earth ... What can one say? This is just too antipodean for mere mortals to even attempt a comment. Where I was brought up, there were factories where horses went in one end and glue-stuff came out the other. But marzipan ... NOT!!
