I remember the spud gun we had when growing up - it really was more like a replica handgun, even made out of fairly heavy (to an 8yo) metal. Ours was also black and red - I wonder if that's some sort of code? I'm sure there'll be some people who will be upset about "condoning guns"....save your concern for when your kids start acting out scenes from violent video games.
