XMAS 2008 STOCK JUST ARRIVED

Anyone who has struggled with a deadline will be all too familiar with these crumpled objects. Designed by our friends at the M&Co. Labs in New York. Made from vinyl and lead, each artfully scrunched by a hungry sculptor.

Legend has it (M&Co. alumni please confirm or deny below) that the initial idea was born when the design studio was trying to think up one of its famed end-of-year client gifts. No idea seemed good enough and the discarded thoughts were represented by more and more scrunched up balls of yellow legal paper on the floor.

The penny dropped for someone (we're guessing Tibor) and the symbol of frustration became the gift that year.
