Guglielmo ("Gughi") Valobra is a passionate man, and a good friend to the REMO General Store.

Over a century ago Gughi's grandfather Virgilio Valobra established in Genoa his plant for the manufacture of fine soap. He was determined to adhere strictly to the formulae and methods of the master soap makers of the 18th Century. To this day Gughi Valobra continues to insist on the exclusive use of pure and selected ingredients. To achieve a super rich lather, virgin coconut oil is used in all of the soaps. Lecithin, vitamins, vegetable oils and natural fragrances are added to produce a truly deluxe range of soaps.

We carry a range of the hand soaps, a couple of the old fashioned bar soaps, the soft almond-scented shave soap and a couple of the VERY special gift tins of 4 soaps; all packaged within wonderful and authentic Valobra graphics.

Our Range: BALSAMO (intensely scented, a dark soap for oil skins), PRIMULA (primrose for babies and delicate complexions), GLICERLANOLINA (glicerine and lanolin for dehydrated skins), VITAMINA E (a regenerative soap for aging skins), VITAMINA A é CAROTENE (assists in setting sun tan), LATTUGA (with lettuce, Gughi's favourite) & MANDORLA (almond-scented bar with glicerine).

I once kept a bar of this for 5 years! When I finally used it was still great. Before the other shave soaps this was the one - now I alternate between this and Proraso

| This is the best soap that money can buy.
This may sound over the top - until you have used this soap. Just buy some.The smell alone is just magnificent.

"The best soap" as they say about their own brand in Fight Club, though I think Valobra use more wholesome ingredients! These are nice, rich, scented soaps that make the morning shower regime complete and get me off to a good start.

| I keep ordering Valobra soaps
This year I asked my spouse to buy several Valobra soaps for my birthday present. I keep coming back to Valobra - it's a little bit of luxury each day. Glicerolina Bar soap is my current favourite and worthy, I finally decided, of my first customer rating.

| Truly a 'Special Thing'
I have dry, sensitive skin & can't use many soaps on my skin, so Valobra's gentle and absolutely gorgeous Primula soap is a wonderful find.

Bought a lot of these in Tuscany this year 2006. Know where to get them when i run out! As Tuscany a bit far to go back for great soap, but am an addict!

| Good Habits
I have managed to continue my Valobra habit ... even during the REMO down years. Sensible stock-piling in 1996 ... and a chance encounter with some bars in a New York pharmacy in 2000 has kept my family happily lathered to this day. Just as well. Valobra is a very hard habit to kick.
