REM'O'Matic Gift Guide

CustOMER Since 1988

Walking into REMO General Store was always a creative thrill and energising experience for me in 1988 as a 21 year old cartoonist and designer. It has remained in my consciousness ever since, and after many purchases over the years, I miss the REMO vitality and particluar energy that only a unique, creative retail experience such as REMO could bring. I get a similar buzz from the Idee store in Aoyama, Tokyo, the Muji stores in England, and the best internet sites from around the world.

REMO has always enjoyed good relationships with Japanese organisations and people.

In 1989, in only our second year of life, we were approached by The Seibu Department Store Group to help out with the merchandising for their (then) new store in Hong Kong. We quickly formed an export marketing division (aptly named "Pacific Design Source") and gathered together a diverse selection of quality merchandise from throughout the Pacific Rim.

This image lifted from an archived Japanese business card, spells out the two syllables "Re" and "Mo" in Japanase Katakana symbols.
