It's nice in this fast paced world that we live in that there is a place, online, where one may stop and pause for breath. A place where there are like minds who agree on what is good in the world and, where the emphasis is not on what is going wrong but more on how we can make it more right. As someone who works at a break neck pace in the world of events 7 days a week it's nice to go where things slow down a little, where people are passionate. It's nice to go to that place in my mind I call REMO.

We collaborate with designers from all over the world to bring you a steady flow of ideas for our T Shirts. The "Mother of all Creative Sessions" was a March 1991 brainstorming session held in Treviso Italy and involving: longtime REMO designer Douglas Riccardi, stacks of white napkins and many varieties of grappa.

One consequence of that session was this Camp REMO design. To quote Doug's fax from May 1991:

For some reason I feel like doing this "Camp REMO" shirt. Do you want to make it? I think those ecology minded Japanese customers will eat this up and you will get back your investment in no time.

Never a big seller but a favourite for those who partake.

This reminds me of those god-awful camps we used to get shipped off to during summer vacation. The gulags! T shirts used to be handed out there too but they never lasted beyond the camp itself ... fortunately! If Remo had the franchise back then, I would still have those awful memories but I would also have lots of Remo T's to console myself in the Linus blanket sort of way?
